Saba Lev Day

We took the kids to visit Dad's grave yesterday on the anniversary of his death. It took about an hour to drive there and once we got out of the car and had seen the grave Estie said 'Come on, let's go to Saba Lev's yartzeit!'. We had to break it to her that this was it.

Estie seemed to get more into the day this year. When I was decorating cookies last week she asked me what Saba Lev's favorite color is and she has been asking me why he cannot come down from Shamayim to be with us. She has a lot of good questions and hopefully we will be able to answer them properly.

All the kids took heart shaped cookies to school and Chaya Bracha's school said psalms in his memory.

At the cemetery, the kids arranged sea glass and rocks that we collected at the beach last week, inspected the area where the yartzeit candle goes, met Dad's flashy new neighbor and asked if we will all be buried together.
