For those of you who don't know, Lev's english birthday is on Saturday, the 12th of July. Mommy has planned the birthday that never ends. On Shabbat morning we'll have jelly filled spelt muffins (or Shabbat cakes as Lev calls them) and grapes in the park with friends and at lunch, hopefully, a 3-D train cake. Let's see if I can make that one happen. On Sunday he'll get carrot cake cupcakes at school and give his friends bubbles and stickers. Then we'll have pizza dinner in the park with Uncle Ezra, Aunt Rachel and the Katalan's. I've already started buying ingredients and we keep reminding Lev that he'll be 2, which means that tutis are for naps (for real!), using words, not whining, and hugs not hitting. Maybe it will also mean more pishing in the potty, but we'll have to work on that one.
Shalom & Devra, Lev Yisrael, Esther Neshama,Chaya Bracha, Michael Shlomo and Avraham Simcha Stark. For our friends and family outside Israel, to share our lives...

Let's Get This Party Started
We got Lev's first birthday card in the mail the other day and I planned on giving it to him on his birthday. I guess that only works when your kid can't climb up onto a chair and grab the envelope of the table, open it and see that it's Elmo inside.
