Shalom left on Thursday night, for an early morning marathon in Jerusalem. We sent all of our clothing ahead, and took the straight bus on Friday morning (a friend dropped us off at the bus stop) Each kid had a backpack with a screen, headphones, chips, two sandwiches, and water. Thank goodness, it was a painless 1.5 hour bus ride.

When we got to Jerusalem, we realized that the easiest way to get to the Science Museum, to meet the Wanetiks, was to take a bus the hitch was that you need a transportation pass to ride any public transportation. They don't take money. And we didn't have passes, so we went and had them made. The kids loved their short bus ride.

Over shabbat, we had meals with friends who we have known since before we were all married. After Shabbat, we went out with our friends, Naomi and Erez and their kids, who moved to DC right after Doobies' bris and then back to Israel this summer Clara and Lev were together in gan whe. They were babies.
This morning, we packed up (we rented an apartment), and went over to Mushkie's for breakfast, before leaving for home. Doobies said he loves Jerusalem and wants to move to the city, but the first thing he did when we got home is get on his bike and go for a ride around the neighborhood.
