We add a new candle to our Friday night lights for each family member. With the ones that Estie and Savta Bubbie lit, that's a lot of light.
There is a custom for children to say the blessing of Shema to the baby the night before his brit milah (circumcision). We got together with the kids who live on our street, who also have early-ish bedtimes, to say shema to our new baby. Lev handed out bubbles and treats to everyone.
