Lev's New Year
Well, Lev started the year out with a bang. He's been sick since Sunday morning and after three days of blood tests, urine analysis, chest x-rays and more, the doctor said 'Probably a virus.' Shocking answer to anyone with a kid. Thank G-d his fever seems to have broken and we're hoping he can go back to gan tomorrow- Mommy could use the break. When not in a doctor's office, we spent our time ordering Lev a bigger crib (finally)- though cribs in Israel are smaller than the ones in the US, but I guess so are the rooms, which will turn into a toddler bed when Mommy and Daddy are ready to give Lev that freedom. Lev also got a stroller for his baby doll (or his pascifiers, whichever he chooses to push around) and some furniture, which he soon figured out gave him access to the kitchen tabke and counters. He also saw fit to invite his Uncle Ezra to sit with him for a drink, very good with the Hachnassat Orchim (having guests- a big mitzva or good deed). Soon enough, Lev will need his own apartment to store all this great stuff in. Funny side story- I met a father of a boy and girl and he was trying to assure me that it's ok that Lev pushes a baby stroller. He said that his son pushes his daughter's doll stroller sometimes. I said 'Of course it's ok, his father pushes a stroller, why shouldn't he?' To which the father said 'Oh, yeah, I guess you're right.'
