On Sunday afternoon, Doobies found an injured cat in our yard. It looked like the cat had metal wire embedded in his leg. After three attempts, Shalom and Doobies managed to capture the cat in a plastic storage bin, and we sped off to the nearest, friend recommended, vet. He said it was too complicated for him, and helped us google a different vet. B"H, the second vet agreed to help the cat.
Turned out that the wire was just tired SUPER tight around the cat's leg. They had to sedate it in order to remove the metal wire.
For those of you who don't know, Shalom is very allergic to cats, but he spent his Father's Day teaching our kids about the importance of caring for all life forms.
Yesterday, they called us to pick the cat up, asking us to return him to his neighbourhood. They even lent us a proper carrier. The kids were super excited.
