Saba Lev Day

Throughout the week, Lev and I baked chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and bars so that the kids could bring them to school today. When the kids make a blessing over the food, they keep in mind my father and it only helps his soul go higher. Today is the tenth anniversary of his death. It's pretty crazy.

We started the celebration last night, with pizza and The Lone Ranger, Saba Lev's favorite. Lev is now a fan as well.

Then, each kid got to light a candle along with the one that I light in his honor.

This morning, the kids got to taste the treats that they were bringing to school.

This wasn't a planned part of the celebration- but Lev recieved the honor child award for good behavior for last month (they go by the Hebrew months)

Then we went to the big park on Zichron and Daddy played with the little kids while each of the oldest three joined me for a lap each around the park.

Now we're getting ready for Shabbat. Have a great weekend!
