Back Home

Lev survived the trip home. After saying good-bye to Savta Bubbie a day later thank planned (our original flight was cancelled), we got ourselves to Frankfort and then to Israel. Lev was a star. He had a rough time on the first flight, but fell asleep near the end and stayed asleep when Amy and I transfered him to his stroller and for a few hours of the lay-over. He then found some friends once we'd checked in for our Israel flight and kept himself busy until passing out for the complete flight. The most memorable experience? Seeing my 13-month-old, clad in footie pajamas, patted down by Frankfort security- TWICE! He took it like a champ.
Once we got home, he bonded with his father and enjoyed his birthday gift from GG Sophie- his first bike! He now wakes up every morning and expects us to push him around on it. Lucky for me, the neighbor kids are more than happy to do it for him. He jumped right back into gan and the rest of Israel life. He has a normal schedule during the day, but his body isn't ready to let go of the US, so he spends a lot of time playing in his crib in the middle of the night. It's getting better, and at least Mommy can sleep while he entertains himself (Daddy never has a problem sleeping through the loud times) and we're all happy to be home!
